Sevens: instructions and practice
The example and rules describe the same game you can play above. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.
Practice beyond the first move
The board gives you the information needed for the next action. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.
The objective of a round
Read the position before choosing your next action. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. The game area remains available above the explanation.
A walkthrough of the rules
- A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
- The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
- Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
- Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
- The first player with an empty hand wins the round.
How your actions work
Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.
An example to follow
Use the controls beside the game rather than guessing the rules. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table. The game area remains available above the explanation.
Watch out for this
Read the position before choosing your next action. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.
